John Ryder Zachary Knighton ... Jim Halsey Neal McDonough ... Lt. Esteridge Plot Outline: A sadistic killer, with an instinct to kill and a desire to die, loves to randomly pick his victims by hitchhiking on the roads of New Mexico. Grace Andrews (Sophia Bush) and Jim Halsey (Zachary Knighton) are two college students going on spring break, when they unfortunately pick up this hitchhiker, John Ryder (Sean Bean). Grace and Jim learn real fast that it was a bad mistake to give a hitchhiker a ride. What was going to be a fun time now turns into a nightmare. Quotes: Grace: Please! Stop! John: I can't... Grace: Jim, I just wanna go home. Grace: Yeah, you just wanna tell all my friends you saved my life. Jim: Grace, we're in the middle of nowhere. We can't just leave that guy out there, we have to see if he's ok. Grace: That guy is just standing there, Jim. He's not even moving. What kind of freak just stands in the middle of the road and doesn't even flinch? Jim: He's coming over here. I'm gonna go talk to him. Grace: No please! Let's just call someone for help ,ok? Let's go. I don't wanna pick up a stranger out here. [After Grace shoots John repeatedly in his bulletproof vest] John: Feels good, doesn't it? Grace: I don't feel anything.
